Museum Hours of Operation
The American Wings Air Museum main display facility at the
north end of Anoka County Airport has had to close due to
the sale of the facility. While many of the artifacts and
aircraft displays have had to be placed in storage, we
are still displaying many of our aircraft and other items at
our Annex facility at the south end of the airport.
While we are no longer able to conduct Aviation Merit Badge programs, our school tours we will continue to promote aviation education programs as we have in the past. This down-sizing of our operation will hopefully be a temporary one, while we attempt to locate a new home for our unique collect of aircraft and artifacts.
AWAM is closed Holidays to allow our volunteers to spend time with their families.
The museum also operates a portable display facility housed in a 48 ft. semi, which is available for special school tours where we BRING THE DISPLAYS TO YOU. You may still contact us by phone or
E-mail as shown below, with any questions or comments.
We thank all of you who have visited us
at our previous display facility or at the many air shows,
parades and other special community events in which we have
participated over the years. Your interest in aviation and
history in general is what inspired our founding in 1985,
and has continued to fuel the imagination and enthusiasm of
our volunteer staff.
Thank You!
